Botanical Garden
The present Botanical Garden was realized starting with 1884. It has a surface of 17.5 ha and comprises over 10000 species and plants. Here is the Botanical Institute and the Botanical Museum.
Cismigiu Garden
Situated in the centre of Bucharest, was opened on 22nd of March 1860. The parks plans were realized by the Viennese architect F. W Meyer. The name of the garden comes from the name of the position of the person that was taking care of all the pumps in the city: cismigiu. It has terraces, restaurants and a lake where you can take rides by boat.
Herastrau Park
Situated in the north of Bucharest, on the borders of the Herastrau Lake, gives varied possibilities to spend your free time (restaurants, terraces, entertainment parks, boat or ship rides on the lake, sports grounds)
